Anni Report for NHRI

People’s Empowerment Foundation (PEF), as a member organization of the Asian NGO Network on National Human Rights Institutions (ANNI) and a part of Thai Coalition for National Human Rights Institution, has been responsible for conducting the Report on the Performance and Establishment of National Human Rights Institutions in Asia, also known as ANNI Report (for Thailand) for the past 10 years.

 

The annual ANNI Report is based on country reports with analysis of the performance of each country’s national human rights institution, or the progress made towards the possible establishment of a national human rights institution for the previous year and the first quarter of the current year. The country reports are structured according to ANNI Reporting Guidelines that were consulted on, discussed, and framed by the ANNI members during the annual Regional Consultation of ANNI. 

 

There are altogether 36 members of ANNI, with each organization being responsible for conducting one’s own country report while Forum-Asia, as the secretariat of ANNI performed the task of edition, consolidation and publication of the reports sent from all countries.
